Clovelly Heights is situated right on the mountain-side, it's a simple case of walking out the back door!

Bohemian Kalk Bay ETA:5 Min
Which offers cobbled lanes, antique stores and restaurants above the charming harbour Shops including: bakers (world famous Olympia café), Bars, restaurants and cafes Cape to Cuba; this harbour side restaurant possesses all things Havana for sale to compliment their exotic seafood. Perhaps the best is Harbour house with its glass enclosed dining area providing outstanding local cuisine. Other good bets along with the Olympia inc Polana with its Mozambican menu and cocktail bar at ocean level.

Fish Hoek ETA 5 Mins:
Has several Banks who operate a no commission money exchange facility, and all amenities needed from Chemists to supermarkets and newsagents, but NO off licence / bottle shop due to an ancient degree (Available in Kalk Bay!)

Simons Town - ETA 10 Mins:
A navel town since 1687. Lovely restaurants and boutiques, boat trips to seal island or around cape point depending on your time frame and several curiosity shops.

BEACHES - various, including

Fish Hoek & Clovelly ETA 3 Mins: - A picturesque bay featuring a flat expanse of sand that’s perfect for long walks, and a protracted corner with small waves that’s ideal for swimming. The jaeger Catwalk has been a sun soaked spot for Fish hoek visitors and is an excellent launching pad for snorkelling. In Sept/Oct and June/July the vast southern right whales splash around in the bay. This is an excellent beach for families. Best for: all-day swimming in warm waters. Don’t forget: money for ice creams and a visit to the galley, they serve fabulous calamari. It also has a full time “shark patrol” and SA’s most decorated life saving team….

Boulders beach ETA 12 Mins: This family friendly beach possesses one of CT main attractions the resident colony of jackass penguins. As ones swims in this sheltered cove the penguins flash past or have several worlds to say to you once on their beach. One of the only beaches to charge an admission R10, but well worth it.

Muizenberg ETA 15 Mins: Excellent swimming with would be surfers at "surfers corner" as the long wave break is easy to conquer in just a few lessons.

Clovelly Heights is "inside" a bird sanctuary, with indigenous birds and fynbos all around. Take a hike in the fynbos and bird sanctuary or, take advantage of the many great activities in the area which include cape point, boulders penguin colony, the clovelly country club, table mountain, kirstenbosch gardens, robben island, the castle, rhodes memorial, and many more. We can even organize a travel package to suite you.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens ETA:- 25 mins
The beautiful world-renowned gardens of Kirstenbosch are situated on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. There is always something to see whatever the time of year, and you will come across some unusual features as you stroll through the gardens.

Cape Point Nature Reserve ETA:- 30 mins
Cape Point is one of the greatest landmarks in the world: a wild and scenically spectacular area at the tip of the Cape Peninsula and African continent. It was here that the fearless Portuguese navigator Bartholomew Dias first rounded the Cape in 1488, and the large stone cross seen in the reserve, commemorates his achievement. Cape Point is situated in the Cape Peninsula National Park and brown and white bontebok antelopes, dawdling tortoises and dashing ostriches can be seen on a drive through the pristine nature reserve.

V&A Waterfront ETA:- 45 mins
The hugely successful Victoria & Alfred Waterfront complex has been developed around older wharves of the scenic Cape Town harbor. It is one of the most popular places to dine and stroll, day and night, and has the charm of a working harbor with seagulls and fur seals waiting for scraps from fishing boats, and tugs tied next to luxury yachts.

Table Mountain ETA- 40 mins
Table Mountain is Cape Town's most famous landmark and one of the city's greatest attractions. There are over 100 scenic ways to climb the mountain, which stands at 1086 meters above sea level, but most people take the revolving cable car which whisks you to the top in a just a few minutes. The views in all directions are magnificent and the feeling of being on top of the world is what makes this such a popular destination.

Winelands
ETA: - 40 mins
The Cape Winelands is a scenically enchanting region of dramatic mountains and fertile valleys, planted with vines stretching across rolling fields. Here farmers enjoy perfect conditions and produce of the best wines in the world.

All year round activities
With a mild, Mediterranean climate and a relatively short rainfall period May to August, Outdoor Activities may vary.....but NEVER stop.

Spring: Sept - October
Re-juvenation as the days begin to lengthen. Focus is on the Cape's floral display and visitors can enjoy spectacular flower shows in the City Centre.

Summer: November - March
Joggers, walkers and water sport enthusiasts enjoy the beaches. The Cape Town Festival, the Argus Cycle Tour, test match and one day international cricket at Newlands and the Navy Festival are but a few of the Summer highlights.

Autumn: April - May
Balmy, windless days - visitors enjoy tours of the city by bus and on foot. Domestic Winter: June - August
It's Whale Season and many visitors choose this quieter "off peak" season. Museum meanders and retail therapy are a favorite with visitors.

Attractions/Activities that can be enjoyed all year round are trips up Table Mountain, visits to Robben Island and the V & A Waterfront.

The City's peak tourist season is during our Spring and Summer months - from October to April.
The season is extending as more and more visitors come to enjoy our "off season" accommodation rates, our whale and flower season, from June to October.
