Really enjoyed the masses of choice in and around Clovelly, Simons Town for food and activities. On our last day my son and I went to the penguins (for the second time), whist my daughter and husband went to a local shooting range..... Food and service fantastic and Clovelly heights, clean, spacious and very well equipped. Thanks, Clara and family Roost. |
| Feb, 2007 | Many thanks for a truly memorable holiday, all very sad to be leaving for cold & wet UK tomorrow. Clovelly Heights has been a fantastic spot for our base and we are vowing never to return to hotel rooms for our family holiday. We have all thouroughly enjoyed the beaches, (especially Boulders), restaurants, too many wine farms and aforse bbq’s on the fabulous terrace. We will be recommending Clovelly Heights to family & friends & are already planning next years visit. Kind regards, |
| Feb, 2007 | Great stay. We looked at the development in 2004 and now wished we had had to sense to invest, especially as there are only 3 houses. At least we can now come and stay, when you have a vacancy, so I am not completely in the dog house! The kids loved surf school and my wife the Olympia cafe – stunning. Garry |
| Jan, 2007 | Thank you both for your attention to detail with your lovely rental home. The location is ideal for either making the most of all Cape Towns attractions or just enjoying the setting and unwinding. Compared to our previous accommodation in Hout Bay it was not only better designed and equipped, but a joy to not feel the necessity to have bars and security measures that we found rather oppressive. Clovelly's relaxed atmosphere doesn't for one minute make one feel compromised, just pleased that such a place is available to people who are not only interest in golf. | Jan, 2007 | We have spent a wonderful 10 days in the western cape. The stunning natural scenery, food, wine and friendly people have made it a memorable break. Visits to Cape point and Table Mountain are a must and the drives along Chapman’s peak and along the R310 past Muizenburg towards Somerset West are exhilarating; but what we shall miss most is having late breakfasts and sundowners on the wonderful terrace with those views. | Dec, 2006 | We enjoyed a very memorable Christmas holiday based at Clovelly heights with thanks to Lizbeth and Sebastian for being great hosts. Being our first visit to SA we had reservations about security, these soon passed as everyone we meet offered real friendliness, and some super local tips. Clovelly Heights is within 45 mins of anywhere we needed to be. Our boys (aged 11 + 8) insisted on daily surf lessons at Muizenburg. We were pointed towards Kalk Bay harbour for bay fishing trips, call in at “Kalky's” fish and chip empire and ask for George. He sorted half a day (6hrs) fishing on his boat for only R150 each. | Dec, 2006 | Sitting on the deck for the last time feels as relaxing as when we arrived a month ago. We have travelled all along the garden route staying in some fabulous locations and yet only Clovelly felt like home. Our hosts Sebastian & Lizbeth have been extremely gracious & welcoming. Not only are we eager to return but will be recommending Clovelly heights (and the Olympia café in Kalk Bay) to all our friends and family. |
